King Kelechi
Born and bred out the East of New Orleans, Louisiana, King Kelechi touts a sound like no other. The distinction in his voice is reminiscent of Fela, with the rasp of Mystikal and Fiend, and the vibrato of Howlinʼ Wolf. The Nigerian lyricist draws inspiration from Lilʼ Wayne and Soulja Slim for delivery, and his salvation and life experience for content. There is no denying his dedication to storytelling in a way that feels unprecedented and yet oddly familiar. Since relocating to Houston, King Kelechi has definitely been influenced by the Texas style with his melodic flowʼs reminiscent of young zro and nu wine. If Juvenile, Fred Hammond, and Burna Boy made an album with a brass band on live instrumentation, it would sound a little like Kelechi. The husband and father of 2 has one goal, to make you feel something and to get rich doing it. Passion for Promoting God, growth, and new life is contagious and sparks a light in the ear of every listener and all onlookers. Long live King Kelechi.
